Easter's Spicy Carrot Margarita Recipe

Celebrate Easter with this delicious and healthy margarita!

Springtime is in the air and we have been inspired to make a seasonal cocktail straight from the garden. This drink may sound a little strange, but trust us- you'll see carrots in a whole new way after sipping on a spicy carrot margarita! This drink got us wondering: have bunnies been on to something all along?

When paired with tequila, the flavorful carrot has us jumping for an extra serving of vegetables! If you have a juicer, we recommend squeezing fresh carrot juice for the best possible taste. Many grocery stores carry 100% carrot juice that can work as well. Our recipe adds orange liqueur and lime juice to round out the carrot's flavor. The earthy, yet sweet taste of carrots is then balanced with the hint of spice from a slice of jalapeño. Time to grab your carrots and give this refreshing drink a shot!

Best enjoyed blended in our 18oz Tumbler. As TOSSWARE's largest cup, the 18oz Tumbler allows us to serve up this large and refreshing margarita in style. For those that prefer a drink on the rocks, we recommend muddling the jalapeño with agave syrup, shaking with the rest of the ingredients, and then straining it into a pre-rimmed Tumbler.

The spicy carrot margarita packs a punch alongside some serious vitamin A and C. Whether for Easter brunch or a stroll in the garden, remember to eat (or better yet, drink) your carrots! Makes two:

Ingredients
Salt
Cayenne pepper
1.5 ounces lime juice
1.5 ounces orange juice
1 ounce agave
3 ounces carrot juice
1 thin jalapeño slice
3.5 ounces of tequila
1.5 ounces orange liqueur
1.5 cups of crushed ice

Instructions
  1. Start by mixing together coarse salt with a dash of cayenne pepper on a small plate. Rub a lime around the edge of the TOSSWARE cups and dip the rim into the salt and pepper mix
  2. Put all of the other ingredients into a blender. Be sure to only put one very thin slice of jalapeño, a little bit goes a long way! It's the oils from the jalapeño that will be giving us the bite in this cocktail
  3. Pour the blended margarita into the pre-rimmed TOSSWARE glasses and garnish with a slice of lime
  4. Voilà!
